MikroElektronika (stylized as MikroE) is a Serbian manufacturer and retailer of hardware and software tools for developing embedded systems. The company headquarters is in Belgrade, Serbia.
MikroElektronika is a producer and retailer of hardware and software tools for developing embedded systems. Its best-known software products are mikroC, mikroBasic and mikroPascal compilers, available for 7 MCU architectures (PIC, dsPIC/PIC24, PIC32, FT90x, 8051, AVR, and ARM).
Click boards™ are MikroElektronika's flagship hardware product line - a range of hundreds of add-on boards for interfacing microcontrollers with peripheral sensors or transceivers. These boards conform to mikroBUS™ – a standard conceived by MikroElektronika and later endorsed by NXP Semiconductors, Microchip Technology, Infineon Technology, Imagination Technology and others.
MikroBUS™ is an open standard and MikroElektronika encourages third party developers to adapt the socket to their boards using the pre-defined specifications.
Prior to developing click boards™, MikroElektronika gained wide recognition for its development boards. Most notably the “Easy” brand. The seventh-generation PIC development board, EasyPIC v7 being its flagship development board with an onboard programmer and support for more than 300 8-bit PIC microcontrollers in DIP packaging. The EasyPIC Fusion v7 board for 16 and 32-bit PIC microcontrollers was nominated for best tool at Embedded World 2013. Easy boards are available for ARM, AVR, and FT90x architectures as well.
MikroElektronika is also known for Hexiwear, an Internet of Things development kit developed in partnership with NXP Semiconductors. Hexiwear was launched in 2016, and won six industry awards since then. Furthermore, MikroElektronika produces TFT development boards, hardware debuggers, and a vast array of various boards for different purposes.
